Super interesting analysis. I’m intrigued by your point that US Black voters tend to vote establishment over insurgent, unless the insurgent is Black. Could you point me to any analysis or polling talking about that? So interesting
Ah sorry that is important context to include! It's from this FT article. Blue is campaign fundraising, red is the matched public funds they get and green is allied super pac fundraising
You can do a search of every dollar spent through the New York City Campaign Finance Board, which distributes public matching funds in city elections, in the Follow the Money platform. If you're outside the US, you can load the page using a VPN, a VPN browser extension or a built-in VPN like the Opera browser's.
Keeping in mind of course... that you will get a lot of results, because a lot of money was spent.
On another issue: a debate we are having in the Network of Independent Socialists

The more and more I dig around for HARD info on Corbyn's new party, the more and more I am thinking that this will not be a true UK-wide ( or England-wide) party. To be effective, such a party would require all the other parties ( eg. Liverpool Community Independents, Southport CIs, Majority, SJP,Transform, ARISE, etc.) to disband. Yet, I see no sign of this whatsoever. Do you?

I'm no expert but I roughly agree with this fivethirtyeight explainer: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-do-black-democrats-usually-prefer-establishment-candidates/
Nice piece Joe. Alan Story, THE LEFT LANE ( My latest piece: https://theleftlane2024.substack.com/p/corbyn-set-to-launch-a-new-political)
Thanks Joe, very interesting - and much more granular than anything else I've read.
What do the different colours in the spending bar chart refer to?

Got it - thanks!
Is there any breakdown of the where (channels, shows, etc) and times the TV adverts were placed?
